Cleaning & Disinfection Process

Our process begins with a thorough cleaning of your entire water system, including the parts that are not readily accessible. Our highly trained technicians then carry out a specific method of chemical disinfection. We chlorinate the water in the storage tank to a level of 20 – 50mg/litre free residual chlorine and allow it to flow through the entire system. The water is left to stand for an appropriate period while we continuously monitor the chlorine concentration to ensure sufficient residual levels.

Depending on your tank’s specific use, we utilize either chlorine or Sanosil as the disinfectant agent. If the tank stores drinking water, the disinfectant is thoroughly flushed out of the system post-disinfection. For non-drinking water tanks, Sanosil can be left in the system, degrading over time and eliminating the need for flushing.
